We originally raised this from a batch of wild seed collected for us by some friends in Prebbleton New Zealand. We have reproduced these from cuttings, as special charachteristic is better vigour than the usual insignis seedlings. Robust and moisture tolerant species from Nepal, with attractive tall foliage and lime-green flowers. A stately elegant plant that can be cut to the ground in winter, flowers appear early summer alongside delphiniums, lupins, and campanula.
A terrific low growing variety for foreground plantings, only just over knee high and easier to manage than some of the larger kniphofia. Colourful burnt orange flowers in summer look good with rudbeckia, grasses and sedums.

Beautiful variation of the species from Crete, originally from Marcus Harvey. Winter flowering, and a great compact structure plant in rock gardens amongst dwarf bulbs and cyclamen. Low mounding shape with grassy foliage , cold and drought hardy, long lived and only 25cm high. Overall great plant.
Strawberry coloured blooms with for a sheltered morning sun position or shade, a beautiful variety that doesnt self seed as much as the usual types.
One of the earliest fruiting varieties, with tall vigorous growth habit to 2.1m. Once established, prune out central canes to keep bush open. As with most blueberries, fruit production is improved by planting other varieties nearby. Sweet fruit which stores and freezes well, perfect for jams, pies, or just eaten fresh.
