Kniphofia 'Wols Red'
I spotted this dwarf poker in the UK years ago, where I was struck by its compact form and abundant hot-orange pokers. It is winter dormant and makes a good grassy mound of leaves when not in flower.
We grow this evergreen variety as a ground cover in full to part sun, visitors frequently comment on its attractive appearance. The pink flowers over the pewter purple foliage are a pleasing contrast, and the plant has an effective ground covering habit. Requires reasonable drainage.

A bushy low growing variety with good blue flowers, ideally planted as path edgings or massed beneath roses or in grouped foreground plantings amongst other perennials. Repeat flowers well, so chop hard after first flowering to freshen up and will repeat flower 4 weeks later.
White form of the blue 'speedwell', just as easy as the blue form. Both varieties are semi deciduous and respond well to cutting back.
Rose pink flowers in mid summer, great foliage aroma, makes amazing tea which is sweet like licorice. Add spear mint or thyme for cold drinks, add to salad, etc.
Medium hydrangea with large heads of blue lacecaps. Note all blue hydrangea need acid soil to produce correct colouring; in alkaline soil they will tend toward pink.
Perfectly white flowers, with all the good aspects of the other Salvia nemorosa varieties. Very frost tolerant, ideal bedding plant, will repeat flower in fertile soil.
The beautiful white form of Dierama pulcherimmum. The white bells hang from slender arching stems that move gracefully in the breeze; a lovely subject for a pond or border.
Delightful soft pink variety with single flowers for semi shade. A spreading plant useful for mass planting and ground cover beneath deciduous trees.
Botanical rarity seldom seen in Australian gardens, native to Chile. Bright magenta poppy-like flowers on long graceful stems that move beautifully in a light breeze. Mid-green diamond shaped leaves form a good mound of evergreen foliagel, which works well as a focal point in succulent groupings and rock garden plantings. Best in drier drained soils,...
Intermediate between Nepeta 'Walkers Low' and faasenii, bushy long flowering cultivar that repeat flowers well after trimming. Use as edging in cottage gardens instead of lavender. Flowers are lavender mauve in colour.
Double white form, sweetly fragrant and lovely. Easy and clumping like other forms, best used in shade as ground cover.
Pure white foxglove which looks fantastic in mass plantings between roses or in a woodland setting amongst hostas and hellebores.
Strong landscaping variety with bushy growth ideal for mass planting or hedges. Blue flowers in summer and drought tolerant once established.
Vigourous pink flowered strain from Barb Jennings, tall stems and more drought resistant than others we have tried.
Sweetly fragrant variety with pink feathered flowers and silver cushion forming foliage.
A tall cultivar flowering later than the species with pale blue semi-double flowers.
