Perennial wallflower that begins purple and transforms to apricot peachy tones as the flowers age, giving a lovely effect. Winter flowering, bird and butterfly attracting, fragrant.

Slender wiry stems topped with lolly pink pompoms about the size of a mulberry, flowering for months in summer. Like other sanguisorba they are drought tolerant, but like some clay below the surface.

Native to Spain, Portugal and Morocco, a spectacular tall grass with attractive seed heads in autumn. Takes a few years to achieve maturity but well worth the wait.
An interesting variety which changes its foliage coloration throughout the season. Leaves begin as green then gradually turn golden in autumn with attractive red tints. Best in a dry rock garden or pot.
