A shorter more compact form of the tall officianalis equally hardy and prolific, only growing to 80cm. Purple pom poms throughout summer, a good improvement for windy locations.
Mounding variety with reddish purple foliage, and white flowers. In fill plant for woodland with epimedium, myosotidium and Primula beesiana.
Cascading ground covering variety for stone walls and rockeries with pure white flowers. Useful in mass planting with prostrate rosemary and thymes. Spring to summer flowering.

Aquilegia caerulea cultivar, long spurred pure white flowers in spring. Aquilegias look lovely in mass plantings under trees in a woodland setting.
Cultivated form of glomerata with especially rigid upright flower stems and clusters of divine purple flowers. Useful for cutting and clumps well between roses and in the herbaceous border.
