Iris japonica
Fan iris, attractive foliage for floral work, and feathery white and lilac flowers in spring. Useful under trees and in larger spaces.
Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears'
Lower growing hosta with lots of lilac flowers and good rosettes of blue grey foliage. Useful variety for foreground plantings in part sun to shade.
Campanula persicifolia 'Chettle Charm'
White flowers suffused with the palest lilac, darkest at the tips. Tall stems great for flower arranging. Amongst my current favourites.
Astrantia 'Woodbridge White'
We have selected this form for its showy larger than usual flowers and longer stem, which suits cutting for floral arrangements. To get the best out of these, plenty of fertility and moisture, shade to part sun.
Ajuga 'Catlin's Giant'
Effective ground covering plant with blue flowers and glossy foliage. Combine with alchemillas, epimediums, hellebores and pachysandra.
Iris sintenisii
Choice evergreen Iris from Greece and Turkey with blue flowers like Iris reticulata. Our stock plants grow well in a sunny south-facing rockgarden.
Geranium 'Mavis Simpson'
A low-spreading variety with attractive grey-green leaves and pink flowers. Great under roses with Heuchera americana and Alchemilla mollis.
Phlox 'Otley Choice'
Tall old fashioned pink phlox, requires good soil and fertility to thrive. Best situated in a sheltered cottage garden with morning sun.
Allium rosenbachianum
A terrific allium from the Hymalayas, large sphaerical flowers up to 10cm across. Grow in well drained soil that dries out well in summer, but doesnt bake. We often add some gravel to ensure the bulbs get sufficient drainage.
Teucrium hircanicum
Attractive perennial resembling a veronica in flower, with showy deep pink flower spikes and sage like leaves. A versatile plant for border or cottage garden.
Monarda didyma 'Bergamot'
Ancient herb and attractive border perennial flowering in summer. This is the red flowered form of bergamot, easy in rich clay based soils.
Papaver orientale 'Picotee'
White flowers with a blush of orange on the outer edge. Beautiful and unusual. Autumn stock pre sold but we will have more ready after July.
Geranium 'Storm'
Similar in appearance, but a better all round garden plant than Geranium 'Pink Spice'; most useful as ground cover between roses and amongst taller perennials. Pewter purple grey leaves and pink flowers; vigorous like 'Mavis Simpson'. One of the best varieties.
Primula 'Goldlace'
Old fashioned shade-loving primrose with burgundy gold edged flowers. Choice and lovely.
Verbena hastata 'Blue Spires'
Perennial verbena, more leafy and bushy than Verbena bonariensis, a good summer border plant with rich colour. Cut back foliage to avoid harbouring mildew in autumn.
