A sub-species of Salvia nemorosa with larger leaves and flowers than the usual.
Unusual deciduous violet with purple flecked flowers, likes leafy moist soil in shade.
Lavender mauve trumpets with lighter throats medium to larger growth suitable for mass planting or summer border. Cut back after flowering as with lavenders and salvias.
Creeping perennial, native to woodland in central and western Europe. Lovely single upward facing white flowers, forms large patches in time. Easy in the garden, lower growing than the tall 'Windflower' varieties.
Deep cobalt-blue flowers on tall stems. Delphiniums love horse manure and require sheltered sunny conditions to do their best.
A softer apricot colour than the regular brighter tangerine variety, flowers for much of the year in fertile heavier soil types.
One our favourite new grasses, waist high flowers with rich green foliage, creating good mounding fill and texture within summer perennial plantings. Grows best on heavier fertile soils, and responds well to moisture in summer if available, but not overly demanding.
A mound-forming sub alpine species with sweetly fragrant soft pink flowers. Useful amongst gravel and stones, petite compact form.

A pretty covering clematis that looks good tumbling over a wall or embankment. Likes alkaline free draining soil and flowers for a long time, compact and abundant.
Shade loving plant with interesting mottled foliage and pink spotted flowers. Multiplies easily in part shade on moist leafy soil, associates well with hostas and epimediums.
A wonderful variety with large white flowers like Romneya coulteri, unfortunately difficult to propagate so only a few.
A vigourous long lived variety for ground cover in shady areas. The new foliage often has attractive tinges of red veining, and the flowers are a creamy yellow. As with other varieties, best on well drained soil. Cold and drought hardy, wildlife resistant.
Ornamental origanum with purple flowers, most valued for floral work, and its long flowering period in the summer border. Mild flavour, can also be used in various lamb and poultry dishes.
A low growing, pure white aster that flowers well in summer, without requiring much in the way of water and staking. Best in a mixed perennial border, or between roses combined with geraniums and campanulas.
Alpine tussock found in Tasmanian alpine areas. It does surprisingly well in most garden conditions providing it is well drained.
