Dwarf "Solomon"s Seal" for the woodland garden or shady rockgarden. Spreads to form a mat.
Sculptural rosette forming succulent, attractive in a pot, border, or rock garden setting. Prefers part shade during really hot periods, otherwise drought hardy. Wild populations now endangered so please nuture these in your garden.
A robust cold-hardy species from the Balkan peninsula, this salvia is versatile: happy in both warm and very cold climates. If temperatures drop below -5 C the plants will become deciduous, however can remain evergreen in warmer climes. Violet purple flowers and attractive greyish hairy leaves.
An easily grown long flowering bushy perennial for a sunny spot, repeat flowers during summer and early winter if dead headed. A fine backdrop for lower perennials and fills out well between roses and salvias.
Attractive dark stemmed form of Hydrangea macrophylla, flowers can vary from blue in acid soil or pink in alkaline. Old fashioned mop top flowers, good for floral work.
