Data sheet
A superb variety, flowering long into autumn with rich indigo flowers. Tip prune young plants to encourage bushy form before flowering. Ideal with roses and in cottage gardens.
Shorter growing variety often more suited to smaller spaces and cottage gardens than taller Helenium 'Moerheim Beauty'. Only knee high and combines well with sunny border foreground plantings of dianthus, geraniums and Salvia nemorosa.
Himalayan species, with attractive pink stems & foliage. The lime green flowers form an interesting contrast.
A Sedum spectabile cultivar with dark terracotta red flowers. Upright habit, always reliable for late summer and autumn colour.
Sky blue hydrangea, lighter in bud. In neutral or alkaline soil it tends to be light pink. Note all blue hydrangea need acid soil to produce correct colouring; in alkaline soil they will tend toward pink.
Tall perennial suitable for clay soil types, winter deciduous and frost resistant. Light blue flowers in summer on tall stems, clumping and easy.
Lower growing hosta with lots of lilac flowers and good rosettes of blue grey foliage. Useful variety for foreground plantings in part sun to shade.
Pink form of Astrantia major: a good companion for hostas and dicentras in woodland.
Pure white Japanese wind-flower for shaded woodland plantings. Not fast to establish but vigorous and low maintenance once fully grown. Mulch well, and trim lightly after flowering.
Vigourous old fashioned mop top type, pure white flowers, useful for specimen or border plantings. Strong stemmed upright variety, useful for floral work.
Begins salmon pink then transitions to soft ochre as the flowers age, lovely amongst roses and salvias. Like all yarrows, cut down after flowering to renew.
Our own variety which we have multiplied from division, flame orange fading into chesnut brown.
Strong growing upright variety, taller than 'Goldsturm' with strong upright stems that will hold upright between mounding grasses and lower perennials.
Can often be bicoloured, usually blue and purple depending on soil pH pink if alkaline. Fluffy rounded flower heads, vigorous long flowering.
Clumping plant for clay, pond margins or moist soils. Attractive tall pink fluffy flowers, over palmate foliage. Cut back after flowering to the ground and it will resprout when the conditions are right.
A wonderful lime green variety, which visitors always comment on when in flower. A tidy plant that flowers for a long time and doesn't get too tall for the border.
