Tall, sun loving perennial for the herbaceous border and cottage garden, providing lasting structure and a long show of golden ochre flowers. Plant with heleniums, day lilies, iris and salvias.
One of the best summer perennials for the border that flowers well into dry summer periods. Deep blue flower spikes contrasting with dark stems. Frost hardy and deciduous, cut back after first flowering for a repeat flowering later in the season. Taller than other forms.
Lowest growing of all the miscanthus, at around knee high, a very versatile and useful foreground filler that wont seed, and looks great with sedums, echinacea, salvia and rudbeckia. Winter foliage has pretty rusty pink tones. Give it nice soil, being a smaller one its fast growing as the big ones.
The beautiful white form of Dierama pulcherimmum. The white bells hang from slender arching stems that move gracefully in the breeze; a lovely subject for a pond or border.
