A pleasing break from the usual hot colours, a subtle kniphofia with two-toned pokers in peach and ivory.
Outstanding grey foliage plant for rock garden, border, or mass planting. Contrasts well with colourful foliage like berberis and cotinus, or in combination with Salvia nemorosa varieties. Yellow button flowers through summer, trim off if not your colour scheme!
Commonly known as "Solomon"s Seal", a clumping perennial with attractive foliage and white flowers for shade or part sun.
Old fashioned pink variety for full sun, ideal between roses or for mass planting. Prolific grower and will grow well in clay or sandy soils.
Lovely grape hyacinth for gardens or pots, vigourously clumping and easy, early spring flowering bulbs. Clump of flowered bulbs in each pot ready to plant.
Classical double white border carnation, with good fragrance and vigourous growth. Long lasting plant for rock garden or border. Cut back occasionally.

Improved strain of Echinacea purpurea with large flowers without the usual drooping petals. Not bred by us but still worth having!
Soft primrose yellow yarrow, good for floral work and cottage gardens. Easy to grow, perennial. Also referred to in herbal medicine, said to aid in the relief of colds and chest complaints.
Close relative to Salvia nemorosa with wider leaves and violet purple flowers. Clumping plant, best cut down to refresh over winter, long flowering and suits mass planting.
An old cultivar we imported from the UK with good foliage and some farina on the leaves. Best in well drained conditions in a pot or the rock garden.
Lower growing to waist high with soft foliage and improved autumn colour, one of the better panicums. A nicely clumping contained grass that looks good in groups amongst echinacea and summer perennials, wont self seed and lasts a long time. However needs decent fertile soil to flourish.
