One of my favourite salvias, which always looks great in the autumn. The flowers are lime-green and in exhuberant clusters like something tropical. Responds well to good soil.
Prolific winter flowering perennial, fragrant purple flowers and bushy robust growth. Wall flowers are useful border plants, much valued for their evergreen nature and winter flowering habit.
Shorter growing variety often more suited to smaller spaces and cottage gardens than taller Helenium 'Moerheim Beauty'. Only knee high and combines well with sunny border foreground plantings of dianthus, geraniums and Salvia nemorosa.
A large flowered rich blue purple aster that flowers late summer. Stout stems and self supporting, grows well in meadow plantings amongst grasses and other perennials such as delphinium, echinacea, and scabiosa.
Old variety from Ken Gillanders collection; lovely ground covering habit and long flowering. I love finding new Helianthemum varieties, and value them greatly in our coastal dry herbaceous border, where they flower over a long period.
A cultivar of nemorosa with clear blue flowers in spring. Makes a delightful pot plant, or woodland planting. Do not over-water after flowering, caution to those with irrigation systems, keep soil barely damp and not wet.
Tall spiky plant with silver spherical heads. Great for flower arrangements and texture in the summer border. Best with morning sun only and enough water during summer.

A striking biennial for shade, forming strong mounds of good foliage and normally flowers in second or third year once the plant has acheived maturity, after which it will self seed. This is the rarely offered white form, the common form is pink.
Long spurred lemon yellow aquilegia, probably derived from Aquilegia chrysantha. Elegant in part shade with hostas and ligularia.

I love helianthemums for their abundant flowering, and superb ground covering abilities in poor growing conditions. We found this as a chance seedling and thought it was worth naming and propagating.
Old fashioned "catmint", mostly used as a border or edging in cottage gardens. Soft blue flowers, trim lightly in mid summer for a repeat flower in autumn.
